ADPS Group on Flickr.com

Submitted by Jennifer Ragsdale on March 26, 2008 - 12:07. |

There's a brand-new group on flickr.com for ADPS-related photos to all gather in one place - a group called Alpha Delta Phi Society. If you've been using flickr to post photos of ADPhi events or get-togethers, please join the group and include your (PG-13, non-secret) photos.

The url for the group is http://www.flickr.com/groups/alphadeltaphisociety
You do not have to be a member of the group to see the photos in the group's "pool", but you do have to be signed in to Flickr/Yahoo.

Calendaring Made Easy

Submitted by Jennifer Ragsdale on April 27, 2006 - 13:49. |

Craig suggested I write a post about how to subscribe to the adps calendar, for those Alpha Delts just getting started with Google Calendar. Or with iCal or Sunbird alpha, I guess, but I'm only going to describe how to do it through Google, so those other folks will have to extrapolate.

1) From the Google Calendar page, click on the + sign next to "Other Calendars" in the "Calendars" box on the left. It's a blue square with a white +.

2)The + should bring you to a new page that says "Add Other Calendar" with a few tab subheadings. Click on the one all the way to the right: "Public Calendar Access".

Updated Web Site

Submitted by Craig Cheslog on January 8, 2006 - 10:38. |

As you can see, earlier this week the new adps.org web site went live.

A web site committee has been working since the end of the Brunonian Convention in November to add features to the web site experience.

You can now make comments, see upcoming events, and read a Society Blog to get updates about the Society. You can also subscribe to this RSS feed to make sure you know when the blog is updated. Should we change the layout? Can we make navigation easier to use? What other features would you like to see?

Naming the Blog

Submitted by Craig Cheslog on December 7, 2005 - 09:57. |

As you can see, this blog needs a name -- and naming blogs is not one of my strengths.

Do you have any ideas? A few people on the Governor/Executive Council e-mail list have suggested Manus Multae Blog Unum or Blog Unum.

That is a wonderful play off of the Society's Motto. Do you have any ideas? Please leave them in the comments.

Welcome!

Welcome to the Alpha Delta Phi Society's new blog.

Many delegates and others attending our recent Seventh Convention (hosted by the Brunonian Chapter) indicated a desire to find ways for the Alpha Delta Phi Society to help facilitate better communciation among our members and our chapters.

This blog is a step in that direction. I'd like to thank Rob Austein, Middletown '84, for all of his efforts to get Drupal running on the adps.org server so we can get this process started.

Over time, I hope other Society members will join me in posting news, ideas, event announcements, and interesting Alpha Delt links to this page.
