Middletown Chapter Awards and Honors 2009-2010

The Middletown Chapter proudly acknowledges the awards and honors earned by our members during the 2009-2010 academic year at Wesleyan University.

Of our graduating seniors, two received degrees with University Honors, seven received Departmental High Honors, and two received Departmental Honors. Five members were elected to Phi Beta Kappa.

In addition, our members received 14 academic prizes, including:

- Bruner Freshman Improvement Prize
- Butterfield Prize for character, leadership, intellectual commitment and concern for the Wesleyan Community
- William Firshein and Hawk Prizes for Molecular Biology and Biochemistry
- Giffen Prize for Religion
- Rachel Henderson Theater Prize for the student making the highest contribution to theater at Wesleyan
- Holzberg Fellowship in Psychology
- Emily White Pendleton Prize for dance
- Plukas, White, and Wilde Prizes in economics
- Scott Prize for excellence in modern languages
- Frances M. Sheng Prize for excellence in Chinese or Japanese language
- Skirm Prize in Government

We commend them for their leadership and their high standards of intellectual attainment.
