Delegates to the 2009 Alpha Delta Phi Society Convention and Leadership Training Conference passed a series of resolutions about Society operations. Under the Society's Constitution, the Convention is the supreme legislative body of our organization.

The resolutions approved by the 2009 Convention included: a measure to encourage the BOG to invite Chapter Sword and Spear nominees and SELEF Literary Competition award winners to the Convention banquet as guests of the Society when financially feasible; a resolution concerning the celebration of the upcoming 200th anniversary of Samuel Eells’ birth; a “Trees are Beautiful” resolution calling upon the Society to reduce the use of paper when possible; and a resolution to implement the process for allowing undergraduate members to opt-in to having the welcome letter sent to their parents upon initiation by changing the bio card completed by new initiates.
