The Alpha Delta Phi Society’s Tenth Convention and Leadership Training Conference will be hosted by the Middletown Chapter from March 19-21, 2010. I hope you will consider joining us at this important Society event! Click here to register on-line!
The Convention is the supreme legislative power of the Society. During business sessions, we will discuss current and future Society projects and participate in educational presentations. You can view the Convention Binder materials, and other Convention information, on-line by clicking here.
All Society members are invited to share their views. But Conventions are about more than business.
A Convention weekend is also among the Society’s largest coordinated multi-chapter reunions. The weekend will include hours of singing, storytelling, and socializing with generations of Alpha Delts from all of our chapters and affiliates. We will also learn more about our new Harvard University affiliate and welcome its initial group of members.
In addition to business sessions, educational activities, meals, and other festivities, a highlight of the Convention weekend is the traditional Saturday Night Convention Banquet. The banquet features an awards ceremony, during which we will announce our Society Order of the Sword and Spear winner (the highest honor the Society can bestow on an undergraduate member). We also honor the winners of prizes from the Samuel Eells Literary and Educational Foundation Literary Competition, and celebrate with songs like A Gay, Gallant Ship and competitive renditions of The Old College Medley and each chapter school’s alma mater. Tune up your throats!
We hope you’ll join us for a great Alpha Delt weekend of networking, singing, and sharing in formal and informal discussions about events, competitions, ideas, and how we can continue to improve what the Society offers to graduate or undergraduate members.
